Jeep 4XE Dark Skies

I was hired by Talweg Creative as Senior Producer to develop the concept for a three-part branded series following a journey to find the darkest skies in New Mexico in the Jeep 4xe. I collaborated with astrophotographer Antoine Ribaut, whose deep knowledge of the night sky inspired the adventure. My role included shaping the narrative structure, overseeing production, and working closely with the directors and crew to bring the project to life. Somewhere along the way, I also found myself in front of the camera—becoming one of the characters in this documentary-style campaign.

The series used the expansive and cinematic landscape of New Mexico as both subject and stage—capturing the magic of chasing dark skies through remote deserts and mountain passes while highlighting the astrophotographer’s fight against light pollution. True darkness has become increasingly rare, yet in New Mexico there are still pockets where the night sky remains untouched. The Jeep 4xe gave us the freedom to reach those remote places where darkness still reigns and the stars take over.

It was one of those shoots where everything felt alive—the elements, the schedule, the light. Our small and nimble crew filmed as we went, adapting constantly to weather, terrain, and the rhythms of night. I never expected to be in the piece myself, but it gave me a new appreciation for how producing and directing intersect. Seeing the project unfold from both sides of the lens offered a rare perspective on the creative process—one I’ve carried into every production since.
